Celia Barquin Arozamena was murdered Monday and will be honored at the Iowa State Cyclones' game Saturday.

Arozamena was 2018 Big 12 champion and Iowa State Female Athlete of the Year and was staying another year on campus to finish her civil engineering degree this semester. Originally from Spain, Barquin Arozamena was one of the most accomplished players in Cyclone Golf history.

Her body was found in a pond at Coldwater Golf Links in Ames, where she was playing a round by herself. A homeless man, 22-year-old Collin Richards, is charged in her death.

Saturday, the Iowa State Football team will honor Barquin Arozamena with a special decal to be worn on each player's helmet. The game kicks off at 11:00am at Jack Trice Stadium versus the Akron Zips.
