An Amber Alert issued for a Waterloo teen late Friday night, has now been cancelled.

Just before 10:30 p.m. Friday, Waterloo police were called to a residence in the 1900 block of Sycamore, on the report of a child being abducted.

Investigating officers found that one of the residents, Roy Baker, was assaulted, and 15-year-old Shakiya Baker was kidnapped.

The girl was apparently taken by two men, both described as black and one armed with a gun, in their white and green conversion van.

An Amber Alert was then issued for the girl.

Then at about 1:45 a.m. Saturday, authorities received a report that the teen had been left on the side of the road, in the 2500 block of Burton Avenue. The girl was not injured.

Law enforcement called off the Amber Alert, but the incident is still under investigation.
