Area Teen Dies After Falling Off a Moving Pickup

A southwest Wisconsin teenager is dead, after falling off his moving pickup.

The accident happened Friday morning near Potosi, in Grant County, Wisconsin.

19 year old Kyle Vosberg of Potosi, was driving his truck on a county road, when he set his cruise control at 30 miles an hour, exited the truck, and stood on the running board, steering the vehicle from outside.

According to the Grant County Sheriff, as Vosberg was trying to get back in the pickup, he fell off the running board onto the highway, suffering a serious head injury.

3 of Vosberg's friends were passengers in the pickup; they drove him home to his mother, who took him to a Dubuque hospital. Vosberg was later air-cared to University Hospitals in Iowa City, where he died.

The incident is still under investigation by the Grant County Sheriff's Office.
