Arrests Made in Arlington Break-in’s
Two young Northeast Iowa men could be looking at a couple of decades in prison, if they are found guilty of breaking into three homes in Arlington.
The Fayette County Sheriff was called in to investigate three home burglaries in Arlington, in the early morning hours of July 12th. Thousands of dollars in tools, equipment, and personal items were taken.
Following a nearly 2 week investigation, on Tuesday, 25 year old Samuel Oberbreckling of Oelwein and 23 year old Patrick Farrell of Strawberry Point, were arrested on charges of one count of burglary in the second degree and two counts of burglary in the third degree, both felonies.
Both were taken to the Fayette County Jail in West Union, and held on $20,000 bond.
The sheriff's office is still working on recovering some of the stolen property.
If convicted of all the charges, the two young men could face up to 20 years in prison.
