Backhoe Vs Car Accident Injures Jesup Man

The Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office is investigating an accident involving a backhoe, that put a Jesup man in the hospital.

It happened at about 1:30pm Wednesday, at the intersection of Cotter Road and East Eagle Road, near LaPorte City.

A car driven by 62 year old Bruce Jordan of Jesup collided with a backhoe, in the intersection.

The backhoe driver, 63 year old Richard Williams of Rowley, was not injured.

Jordan was taken by ambulance to Covenant Hospital in Waterloo, to be treated for minor injuries.
