Authorities are investigating a rural Black Hawk County accident that sent a Cedar Falls man to the hospital on Friday (Aug. 11, 2017).

The Iowa State Patrol said Marcus Sletten, 63, suffered a leg injury in the mishap. He was air-lifted to University Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City for treatment.

Troopers responded to the crash on Grundy Road south of Ranchero Road around 4 p.m.

According to an accident report, Sletten was operating a disabled tractor that was being towed a sport utility vehicle. The tractor went out of control and struck the SUV.

The Iowa State Patrol said Suzanne Sletten, 64, of Cedar Falls, was driving the SUV. She was not injured.
