CRAPPY NEWS – 12/22/16

Everybody seems to be putting out a "best of" or "worst" of list, so why can't I? Starting today, I'll share some of my favorites...the dumbest of the dumb...my top crappy news stories of the year. Enjoy!

Athens, GA- A man is facing criminal charges after flipping out because his grilled cheese sandwich--wait for it--was TOO CHEESY.

55-year-old James De Paola became enraged when his wife made a grilled cheese sandwich with THREE slices of cheese instead of two. He started shouting at his wife and spitting in her face. When his 9-year-old daughter tried to dial 911, De Paola yanked the phone cord from the wall. His 12-year-old daughter was able to call police, who then arrested him. [The Smoking Gun]

He's freaking out about cheese, I'm freaking out that someone is still using a landline in 2016.

Palmetto Bay, FL- A teacher is suing the school where she works for discrimination.

Tracy Rosner has been an elementary school teacher for about a decade, and last year she applied for a promotion to teach ESL children (english as a second language). Sounds admirable, but there's one problem...she doesn't speak Spanish. So the school hired someone else.

Rosner is suing the school district, claiming she was rejected “because of her race and national origin as a Non-Hispanic individual who was not a fluent and native Spanish-speaker.” [The Guardian]

She's suing...because she didn't hired for a job...that she wouldn't be able to do. Only in America.

Springfield, MA- An exotic dancer got in an argument at a strip club...with her own sister.

28-yr-old Deanna Miller went to the club to watch her sister perform, and threatened to "beat her f***ing a**" if she kept dancing like that.

The sisters began arguing outside the club and eventually came to blows. Police had to intervene, and the dancer's sister was arrested and charged with assault and battery on a family member. [Mass Live]

It's a STRIP CLUB, not a ballet recital. What did you expect to see, exactly???
