These are the final "Crappy News" stories of 2016. Let's shed a tear, and pour one for our homies:

Charlotte, NC- A man was arrested for unknowingly evading the law 14 years ago.

37-year-old James Meyers was pulled over for a busted taillight back in July. When cops scanned through his information, they noticed James had a warrant out for his arrest from 2002! His crime? Not returning a VHS copy of the movie Freddy Got Fingered. He'd been charged with misdemeanor failure to return rental property, which is punishable by a fine of up to $200.

In a positive twist, Tom Green, the star of the movie, caught wind of the story and paid the $200 on James' behalf. [WSOC-TV]

They should've arrested this guy for having HORRIBLE taste in movies.

Jakarta, Indonesia- A 21-year-old man discovered something strange while fishing.

He saw what appeared to be a woman, but she was motionless and silent. Naturally, he assumed it was an ANGEL who'd fallen from heaven, so he brought the human-like figure back to his village!

This caught the attention of local authorities, who took about 2 minutes to realize that the angel was actually a SEX DOLL that had simply washed ashore. [Rappler]

Hey, depending on who you meet, a sex doll could be an angel. #HonestMistake

Hyannis, MA- Police were finally able to track down a fugitive facing drug charges.

31-year-old Shaun Miller had been on the lam ever since April after being indicted for heroin trafficking. He was able to avoid police for more than four months by disguising himself as an elderly man! Whenever he left his house he donned a mask complete with grey facial hair, age spots and a bald cap.

Cops received a tip regarding Miller's whereabouts in August and made the arrest. And, yes, Miller was wearing the disguise when he was caught. [Boston Globe]

I think this guy watched Scooby-Doo and Mrs. Doubtfire a few too many times. Although, to be fair, it was a very realistic.
