ARDMORE, OK- A man came up with a unique payment plan for his Girl Scout cookies.
45-year-old Jerry Swanson encountered a group of girl scouts at a mall last Saturday. He either didn't have cash, or he's just a big fan of the barter system. Because instead of giving them money, he asked if they'd trade him a box of cookies for some VODKA.
Swanson wasn't in possession of any bottles when police arrested him, but cops detected a "strong odor of alcohol." [KXII-TV]

OLEAN, NY- A college basketball team had more to worry about than just another loss.
The St. Louis University men's hoops team was about to head home following their game against St. Bonaventure.
But players and coaches were more than an hour late getting to the airport because their bus driver left the arena WITHOUT THEM.
State troopers were able to locate the bus in Randolph, N.Y., about 40 miles west of the arena. The team used their coach's iPad to track the location of the bus. Everyone's belongings were recovered and the team finally made it home. [The Sporting News]

PHARR, TX- Authorities stopped a suspicious shipment near the Mexican border last week.
Border protection officers seized nearly 4,000 pounds of weed disguised as LIMES. More than 34,000 packages were intercepted by police. The marijuana had an estimated street value of $790,000! Someone's definitely going to be mad that didn't make it over.
This isn't the first time smugglers tried to use fake produce to bring drugs into the U.S. Last year, agents found 2,493 pounds of marijuana stuffed into fake carrots at the same border crossing. [WQAD]
