Firefighters arrived to battle the blaze Sunday afternoon. 56-year-old Michael Casteel kept trying to run back into the building. Obviously, firefighters wouldn't let him go inside...ya know, because the BUILDING WAS ON FIRE...but Casteel eventually forced his way in.

What was such a high priority for him--a child? A pet? Family photos? NOPE. Two cans of Bud Ice Premium. Yep. This dude risked his life to grab his beer. A beer that costs about $13 for a 12-pack.

Casteel has been charged with obstruction. He's also had two prior DUI arrests in the past year...I know, I'm just as surprised as you are. [KELO]

54-year-old Takashi Yamanouchi was discovered when city officials opened a service hatch. They noticed a 990-square-foot crawlspace furnished with a stove, heater, and clothing. Turns out, Yamanouchi had been squatting there for THREE YEARS.

Officials also found more than 300 plastic bottles filled with Yamanouchi's URINE neatly organized throughout the attic. He has been charged with trespassing. [Rocket News]

He lived above a toilet that he never used? That's one way to not get caught, I guess...
