Virginia Beach, VA- This is a WONDERFUL example of taxpayer dollars hard at work...

A man left a local restaurant Sunday night without paying. In his haste to get away...he jumped into a lake. Police had to call in AIR SUPPORT to find him. The police helicopter eventually located him and he was arrested.

Yup...the police department used a HELICOPTER to find a guy who didn't pay for dinner. Think about that the next time we whine about road construction. [13 News Now]

Port Orange, FL- It's not a crime to be lazy...unless you're THIS guy.

43-year-old Bradley Barefoot was arrested last Wednesday for stealing a forklift. Cops spotted the vehicle parked in a handicapped space with a mattress on it. Officers saw Barefoot--well, barefoot--talking to himself, swearing and throwing his hands up.

Originally, Barefoot told the officer that he saw the forklift and thought it was the same one stolen from his boss in Alabama. He later admitted to taking it...because he was tired of walking. He was arrested and charged with grand theft, and this WASN'T the first time. Barefoot had also stolen a forklift in April 2016. [ClickOrlando.com]

Grand Blanc Township, MI- A guy burned down his garage trying to get rid of bees...

Mike Tingley found a bees' nest in his garage Monday morning and figured he'd use his 4th of July fireworks to remove it. Tingley lit a series of smoke bombs, which accidentally caught his garage on fire.

While upset (and probably embarrassed) at the loss of his garage, no one was hurt and there was no damage to his home. But on the bright side, at least those pesky bees are gone! [MLive.com]

Heaven forbid there's ever a cockroach in this guy's house; he'll probably use a grenade launcher to try to kill it...
