Chicago Cubs fans are still living large after winning the 2016 World Series. It looks like that moment in time may be immortalized in a movie.

The 2016 World Series featured one of the best seven-game series ever in Major League Baseball history. It featured two teams that had a combined 160+ years since either had won MLB's top trophy. It came down to a 'Winner Take All' Game 7 that saw a come-from-behind win in extra innings. Epic!

Deadline and the Bleacher Report are reporting that a Chicago Cubs World Series movie is in development. Both are reporting that Shane Abbess, who is an Australian filmmaker, has signed on as the director.

The Cubs are working on a sequel of that World Series performance. The 'Northsiders' clinched the National League Central Division Crown and their spot in the 2017 MLB Postseason.

Despite the fact that they beat my beloved Cleveland Indians to complete the 'Hollywood-like' script, it was a great series. It should make for a great movie.
