Top-ranked West Delaware beat Western Dubuque in the Class-4A quarterfinals of the 2015 Iowa High School Girls State Volleyball Tournament on Tuesday, Nov. 10.

West Delaware swept the match 3-0, beating the 14th-rated Bobcats (24-13) by scores of 25-21, 26-24 and 25-19.

The victory moved the Hawks (47-2) into the semifinals. They'll next play Lewis Central of Council Bluffs at noon on Thursday. The Titans (33-5) advanced with a five-set win over Marion Tuesday night.

West Delaware is competing in the state tournament for the 10th time in program history. After finishing second in 2014, the Hawks are favored to win their first state championship this year. They have finished second in nine previous trips to Cedar Rapids.
