2017 High School Football Preview: Janesville
After four-straight playoff appearances, a young Janesville squad failed to qualify for post-season play in 2016. Inexperience shouldn't be a problem for the Wildcats this year. They lost only one starter to graduation.

HOW COACH EASTMAN VIEWS UPCOMING SEASON
Team Strength Entering 2017:
"We have a lot of experience returning, since we graduated only one senior.
Concerns Heading Into 2017:
"How much better did we get in the off-season? Did we make the strides to become relevant in the district and be able to compete for the title?"
"We will have many different formations. We will have to get the ball in the hands of play-makers."
The Wildcats plan to play a base "3-4".
8-Player, District 2 Outlook:
Coach Eastman considers Riceville and Northwood-Kensett as the favorites to win the title. Turkey Valley is the defending District champion.
Expectations For 2017 Season:
"I always expect to win. That is how we prepare as a staff and how we prepare the team each and every week."
