Eight teams from the Cedar Valley and northeast Iowa are featured in the latest Iowa high school football poll released by the Associated Press on Monday (Sept. 11, 2017).

Don Bosco (3-0) is the highest rated squad among the group, sitting on top of the eight-player poll. The Dons are ranked No. 1 for a second-straight week. Joining them is No. 8 Tripoli (3-0), a newcomer to the survey.

Also debuting this week is Hudson (3-0), which is No. 9 in Class A. The Pirates are ranked behind No. 2 Gladbrook-Reinbeck (3-0), and fifth-rated Wapsie Valley (3-0).

No. 10 Denver (2-1) kept its position in the Class 1A top 10, as did second-ranked Waukon (3-0) in Class 2A. Cedar Falls (2-1) holds the final spot in Class 4A, following an overtime loss to Iowa City West.
