Four players from the Waterloo Bucks have been selected to play in the 2016 Northwoods League All-Star Game later this month.

Pitchers Jared Crescentini, Brandon Downey, Derek Hendrixson, and catcher Adam McGinnis were all chosen for the North Division's 30-man roster. They will participate in the 2016 NWL All-Star Game that will be played at historic Simmons Field in Kenosha, Wis., on Tuesday, July 19 at 7:05 p.m.

Jared Crescentini (pronounced cress-in-TEE-nee) is a junior from Missouri Baptist University and originally from Shawnee, Kansas. The right-hander is   4-1 with a 3.18 ERA. He has struck out 29 batters while walking just 16 in 45.1 innings pitched.

Brandon Downey is a sophomore from Maryville University who's originally from St. Louis. He is leading the North Division in saves with eight. The right-hander has appeared in 11 games for Waterloo and owns a 1-0 record with a 0.00 ERA and 18 strikeouts.

Derek Hendrixson is native of Centerville, Ohio. A junior at Wright State University, he is 4-0 with a 0.75 ERA this season for the Bucks. The right-hander has appeared in 13 games this season and has struck out 30 in 24 innings pitched with two saves.

Adam McGinnis is a junior from Western Illinois University and originally from Normal, Illinois. He leads the league with 38 runs batted in (RBI). The catcher is hitting .296 and is in the NWL’s top five in the following categories: home runs (6), doubles (11), extra-base hits (17), and slugging percentage (.528).

The Waterloo Bucks are currently on a five-game road trip to Minnesota and Canada. They open a two-game series against the Thunder Bay Border Cats tonight in Ontario.
