The Upper Iowa Peacocks football team added 16 newcomers to the 2016 roster, Head Coach Tom Shea announced on Wednesday (Feb. 3, 2016).

Denver High School senior Mitchel Siech is among the four recruits signed from the state of Iowa. The group includes two other prep players and Keith Schwickerath, a Garner native who transferred from Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs and began classes at Upper Iowa last month.

The remaining 12 recruits hail from two neighboring states. Eight signees are from Illinois and four are from Wisconsin.

Included in the recruiting class are five linebackers, three defensive linemen, three defensive backs, three offensive linemen and two quarterbacks.
