Wartburg Football Team Maintains No. 6 Ranking
The Wartburg Knights held their position in the this week's d3football.com poll, released by the organization on Sunday (Sept. 13, 2015).
The Knights (2-0) are ranked sixth nationally once again, following a 24-14 victory over then-No. 19 Bethel in St. Paul, Minn., on Saturday. Wartburg debuted at No. 6 in the organization's pre-season poll, and remained at No. 6 last week when the first regular season poll of 2015 was released.
There was no change among the top 14 teams in this weeks' survey. After losing to the Knights, Bethel (1-1) fell four spots to No. 23 in the latest poll.
Wartburg is preparing for its final non-conference game before league play begins on Oct. 3. The Knights travel to Menomonie, Wis., for a night game against Wisconsin-Stout this weekend. Kick-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday at Williams Stadium.
