Deere and Company, base in Moline, has announced the layoffs of over 100 employees at the Waterloo facility.
Deere had just released it's 3rd quarter earnings report on Friday, and company officials note that Deere is still performing well, even with challenging market conditions.

These latest layoffs will involve 115 workers at the Waterloo Works, effective in a month, on September 23rd.

Another 30 workers will be laid off in Davenport.

Worker seniority will determine who will be let go first.

A month ago, Deere in East Moline let 120 employees go.

And 2 years ago, the Waterloo Deere Works layed off about 460 employees.
