Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas celebrated the stars and stripes forever at Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular on the Fourth of July.

The pop stars, who kicked off their Future Now tour in Atlanta last week, joined forces for a performance of "America, The Beautiful" at Beantown's annual celebration along the Charles River Esplanade. And in the clip above, Demi and Nick do the patriotic standard — now 122 years old — justice.

With Keith Lockhart's famous Boston Pops as accompaniment, the pop stars begin the song as written before letting loose partway through and setting their voices free (even when Nick's mic cuts out, you can still tell he's very into it). After the final bar plays, a series of fireworks ignites from behind the Hatch Shell stage and the crowd goes wild.

Jennifer Hudson, Cyndi Lauper and Rascal Flatts have headlined the event in recent years. Lovato and Jonas also performed "Close" and "Stone Cold" at the 2016 event's dress rehearsal.

The show-stopping performance came just two days after the duo joined Andra Day in Orlando for a rendition of "Rise Up" that was dedicated to the victims of June's Pulse nightclub massacre, which left 49 people dead.

Watch the performance above, and tell us what you think of Demi and Nick's spin on the patriotic standard.
