Drake Receives Key to the City of Toronto [VIDEO]

Drake started from the bottom and now he has a key. The 6 God was awarded the key to the city of Toronto before the start of the NBA Celebrity All-Star Game on Friday (Feb. 12).

Drizzy has been a proud ambassador for his beloved hometown so he’s certainly worthy of the honor. Toronto mayor John Tory was on hand to present the gold key to Drake, which he duly accepted.

“This is one of the greatest moments of my life, if not the greatest,” said the OVO Sound leader during his acceptance speech. “We have something extremely special in this place. I will never stop loving this city. I will never stop representing this city.”

After the key ceremony, Drake resumed his role as coach and led his team to victory over Kevin Hart’s crew 74-63 in the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game.

Before that, Drake delivered some shade to Hart, who refused to shake his hand, by throwing Meek Mill under the bus. “If we’re talking city versus city, it’s been a tough year for you,” he said, obviously referring to the several L's Meek took last year.
