We’ve waited patiently for Disney XD’s DuckTales reboot, and it’s finally paying off in gold. Learn the new series’ two-fold premiere plan for late summer, and get that theme song stuck in your head all over again with the opening titles!

Disney XD at last confirmed that the new DuckTales will premiere with a one-hour TV movie on Saturday, August 12 at midnight, re-running for a full twenty-four hours thereafter. The formal premiere will take place Saturday, September 23 with two new episodes airing throughout the day, starting at 7:00 A.M.

Already renewed for Season 2, the new Disney XD DuckTales features among its cast Jessica Jones star and Doctor Who favorite David Tennant as Scrooge McDuck, along with SNL alum Bobby Moynihan as Louie, Ben Schwartz as Dewey, Danny Pudi as Huey, Kate Micucci as Webby, Toks Olagundoye as Mrs. Beakley, Beck Bennett as Launchpad McQuack, and others including Lin-Manuel Miranda as GizmoDuck and Margo Martindale as Ma Beagle.

The first season will also consist of twenty-one half-hour episodes and two hourlong specials, with Matt Youngberg serving as executive producer beside story editor/co-producer Francisco Angones, and Gravity Falls art director Sean Jimenez.
