Fairbank Teen Charged with Rollover

A young Fairbank motorist is being charged with causing a one-vehicle accident near the Oelwein airport.

The accident was reported to the Fayette County Sheriff's office at about 5:30am Thursday. It happened on 40th street.

The investigating officer determined that 19 year old Nathan Brown of Fairbank was driving east, when his vehicle went off the road onto the shoulder, and he lost control.

The suv went into the ditch, and rolled onto it's top.

Brown was treated for minor injuries, but his vehicle was totaled.

Brown was charged with failure to maintain control.

The Oelwein Police Department and Oran Fire Department assisted the Fayette County Sheriff.
