Fire at Oelwein Industry Under Investigation

The cause of a fire at an Oelwein industry remains under investigation.

Oelwein Firefighters were called to TRANSCO shortly after 7pm Wednesday, where a blaze was located in the attic of an older building. The fire apparently started in an area where the company paints railcars.

No one was injured, and there are indications that the fire was not suspicious in nature.

Damages were confined to that section of the older building, and did not affect the day-to-day operations of the company.
