Following an ongoing investigation into thefts in Northeast Iowa, the Fayette County Sheriff has arrested five area residents.

Just before 2:30pm Thursday (April 26), the sheriff executed a search warrant at 4957 "R" Avenue, just northwest of Oelwein, where authorities had speculated there was stolen property.

During the search, a 2007 Harley Davidson Heritage Softail motorcycle that was stolen from Grundy County, was seized.

As a result, the sheriff arrested 40-year-old Jeremiah Larson Jr. of Oelwein, on charges of Theft-1st Degree, Possession of a Controlled Substance-3rd Offense, and Gathering Where Controlled Substances are Unlawfully Used. If convicted, Larson could get 10 years in prison.

The sheriff also arrested 23-year-old Kristy Hall of Oelwein, 35-year-old Darren Peyton of Calmar, 30-year-old Sabrina Reisner of West Union, and 27-year-old Sean Reisner of West Union.

Hall had a warrant for Failure to appear and a charge of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Peyton was arrested on a Parole Violation warrant-no bond hold; Sabrina Reisner was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; and Sean Reisner is charged with Driving While Barred.

All 5 were taken to the Fayette County jail. More charges are pending.
