Investigators suspect foul play may be involved in the disappearance of a Grundy Center man, who's been missing now for more than a month.

The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) is asking for the public's help in providing information concerning the whereabouts of Michael Johns, 28. He was reported as a missing person to Grundy Center police on Oct. 26, 2017.

Johns is described as five-feet, seven-inches tall and 180 pounds. At the time of his disappearance, authorities believe Johns was wearing a white baseball cap, a green or dark-colored Under Armor hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and white and gray tennis shoes.

Iowa DCI officials said information they've developed indicates that Johns was last seen in the area between Greene and Charles City around 6 a.m. on Oct. 25. Investigators have stated that Johns may be the victim of foul play.

Grundy County sheriff’s officials and Iowa DCI agents are asking for the public’s assistance in providing any information about having contact with or sightings of Johns in the area between Greene and Charles City (see map in photo gallery above), during the early morning hours of Oct. 25. The public is also encouraged to be vigilant in looking for anything that would indicate a current location for Johns, based off the clothing that he was believed to be wearing.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office at 319-824-6933, or contact Cedar Valley Crime Stoppers at 855-300-TIPS (8477). Tips may also be left at www.cvcrimestop.com.
