The Black Hawk County Sheriff's office, as well as the Denver Fire Department responded to a two vehicle accident today (Monday, October 26th) at the Hwy 63 and E. Cedar Wapsi Rd. intersection, injuring two people.

Just before 1:00 P.M., Black Hawk County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a reported personal injury traffic accident at Hwy. 63 and E. Cedar Wapsi RD.

The investigation showed that a vehicle operated by Karen Johns, 61, of Cedar Falls had been northbound on Hwy. 63 when it was struck by a vehicle driven by Phyllis Sage, 74, of Waterloo. Ms. Sage disobeyed a stop sign by failing to yield.

Ms. Johnson had chest injuries and Ms. Sage had multiple injuries. Both were transported to a local hospital in Waterloo.

Investigation is continuing.
