There will be increased security measures for the Iowa-Nebraska football game on November 27, 2015. Fans are asked to arrive early.

To ensure the safety of fans and visitors, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln has adjusted its security measures at Memorial Stadium for the Nebraska-Iowa game on Friday, Nov. 27.

Officials ask fans who are attending the game to arrive at the stadium early to expedite entry before the scheduled 2:30 p.m. kickoff. Stadium gates will open at 1 p.m. and there will be increased security measures at all gates.

Some gates will not be available for entry. Gates 6 and 8 will be closed, while Gates 1, 17, 18, 19, 21 and 22 will close at kickoff. If your ticket displays a gate that is closed, please use the next available open gate to gain access to the stadium.
Fans will be required to open outer garments for visual inspection, and are encouraged to travel lightly to the game and leave unnecessary belongings at home or in vehicles. Blankets will be permitted.

These modifications are not related to any specific threat. They are consistent with adjustments being made at other sites following recent international events.

Officials are asking fans to adhere to the "If You See Something, Say Something" approach at Friday's game. Reach Stadium Operations via text -- text to 69050 and begin your message with "UNLPD." Fans also can contact the nearest event staff member, security officer or police officer in the stadium, or call UNL Police at 402-472-2222.
