Michigan State (11-5, 2-1) rallied from an 11-point halftime deficit thanks to eight second-half 3-pointers and beat the Iowa Hawkeyes men's basketball (11-5, 2-1) team on Thursday, January 8, 2015, 75-61.

At halftime, the Iowa Hawkeyes led 39-28 on their home court.  The Spartans  got hot in the second half. Michigan State made its first eight second-half 3-pointers and shot 66.7 percent to outscore Iowa by 25 points (47-22).  It was MSU's 9th straight win in the series.

Senior Gabriel Olaseni led a trio of Hawkeyes in double figures, finishing with 18 points on 5-of-9 shooting -- 15 came in the first half. Junior Jarrod Uthoff scored 12 points and had 10 rebounds, while junior Mike Gesell scored 10 to go along with three assists.

NEXT UP: Iowa hits the road Tuesday, January 13, 2015 to play at Minnesota. Tipoff is set for 8:00 PM-CT from Williams Arena.
