Following a month-long investigation, a Clermont man, in jail on previous charges, has been charged with allegedly having sexual contact with an underage girl.

43-year-old Max Stone had been arrested in May, on charges of assault with intent to commit sexual abuse, and providing a controlled substance to a minor. An investigation determined that Stone allegedly sexually abused two juvenile girls over the last several years.

Following the investigation, on Tuesday (today, June 19), stone was charged with six additional counts of sexual abuse in the 2nd degree and six counts of incest.

Stone had previously been convicted in 1993 of two counts of lascivious acts with a child.

According to the Fayette County Sheriff, Stone's charges would call for an enhanced prison sentence. He is being held in the Fayette County jail on $30,000 bond.
