Jason Derulo's passion for performance is palpable, and it's something comes through both on and off the stage.

As part of a new documentary web series with Fusion called Soundbites, Jason invited cameras to follow him around as he shared his thoughts about being a performer. From the short's executive producer, Michelle Nash: “Derulo allowed Fusion to join him for a day to get a behind-the-scenes look at his insane schedule, and to see first hand the hard work and dedication he puts into everything he does... while still keeping things sexy." Talk dirty to him!

"The love for what I do has shaped me as an artist. They say that if you love what you do, you never work a day in your life," he explains before a group of ladies feel him up on stage. (Yeah, we're pretty sure he's not too mad about his career path.)

The Everything Is 4 singer also discussed the release of his latest studio LP, as well as his thoughts on experimenting with his music — and getting personal. "I write about my life, I write about things that I go through...I think in turn people can relate to those stories, because we all go through the same thing."

Having been in the industry for several years now, Derulo also reflects on his inexperienced self during his early days. "When I was 19 years old on the scene and people were pulling strings, it just doesn't look authentic...the music wasn't connecting to myself as a person."
