Jenni "JWoww" Farley filed a restraining order against estranged husband Roger Mathews after the pair got into a heated argument.

The drama began late Thursday night and carried into the early hours of Friday, documented by Mathews on Instagram. Per his telling of the story, he left home after an argument about Farley's upcoming work schedule to record a podcast with a friend and returned at about 11:30 pm.

He recalled Farley "hysterically shouting" at him in front of their daughter and threatening to call the police. Fearful that she'd make up a story, he called the cops himself. Mathews then said that he went to bed without speaking to the Jersey Shore star and was awoken at 2 am by police, who had returned to their home.

Mathews, 43, said he was told by authorities that Farley contacted a judge and filed a restraining order against him. He was removed from the home and put in the back of a police car, though he was not placed under arrest. Mathews shared two Instagram videos from the back of the cruiser.

He then posted several more videos, many of which were tearful, claiming that his wife regularly argued with him in front of their children and used them against him, telling them he's "a piece of s---" and she regretted having kids with him. He got emotional about being away from his children, telling followers he's spent most every day with both since their birth. Mathews said he was staying with a friend and had only the clothes on his back, as he was not permitted to return to his home to gather his belongings.

Mathews also accused Farley of being greedy, revealing that she was in talks with MTV to discuss her divorce from him on an upcoming season of Jersey Shore. He claims she was seeking $70,000 to do so.

"She's made my children pawns in this – literally made them pawns, something I would never do to her, ever," he said. "I have no choice but to just be honest and open. I got nothing to lose, I got nothing to hide. You're gonna see about our divorce on Jersey Shore, you know why? Because my wife told me – my ex-wife told me – when we were in counseling that she's negotiating a side-deal. I think she said she wanted $70,000...to talk about our divorce on the upcoming season. Everything is about money with her. All I want is time with my children, that's all I want."

Farley did not respond herself, but did release a statement from her rep on Instagram. In it, she said, "Certain events transpired last night," but did not go into detail. The statement also called Mathews' recollection of the evening's events "entirely false, misleading and intentionally designed to cast Jenni in a negative light."

"She is proud to be a hardworking parent who provides for her children," the statement red. "While we have chosen not to comment further, we will note that a judge immediately ruled in Jenni's favor and issued a temporary order of protection last night. Please respect Jenni's decision for privacy in an effort to protect herself and her children during this time."

A spokesperson for the Toms River Police Department confirmed the news to People, revealing that police were called to the home "for a civil matter" at approximately 1 am Friday morning.

"Mr. Mathews was served with a Temporary Restraining Order and provided transportation to another location," the spokesperson said.

Farley filed for divorce three months ago, citing irreconcilable differences. After the announcement, Farley and Mathews continued to spend time together with their two children, Meilani, 4, and Greyson, 2.
