Jesup Hunter Injured in Tree Stand Accident

A hunting accident in Fayette County has sent a Jesup man to the hospital.

It happened Friday morning near Clermont.

67 year old Timothy Lindquist had fallen about 20 feet from a homemade tree stand.

According to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, he was not wearing a safety harness.

Lindquist was found at about 11am Friday by a couple of men in his deer hunting party.

He was initially taken to the West Union hospital, then aircared to University Hospitals in Iowa City. A condition report was not available.
