Authorities have filed charges against a half-dozen area residents following a drug investigation in Fayette County.

The investigation was opened on Tuesday, Jan. 24, which led to searches of 3 homes in West Union.

39-year-old Tina Schuler of West Union was arrested last week for possession of drug paraphernalia, and on Monday (Jan. 30) warrants were issued for the arrest of the 5 other West Union residents.

They are identified as: 40-year-old David Shannon, 42-year-old Samantha Darling, 49-year-old Tina Nichols, 48-year-old Roger Nichols, and 52-year-old Herman Ronnfeldt.

Ronnfeldt is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver. The rest are charged with drug paraphernalia.

Ronnfeldt and Roger Nichols are both on parole, and warrants have also been issued for parole violations. Ronnfeldt is also on the state sex offender registry, and is currently unaccounted for.

The narcotics and other items seized were sent to the state DCI lab for testing, and more charges could be filed.
