Just before 2:30pm Friday (June 23), the Fayette County Sheriff received a report that a woman who had been tubing on the Turkey River, was stuck near Gouldsburg Park, north of Hawkeye.

When deputies arrived, they found 51-year-old Teresa Dane of Sumner, sitting on a log, that was wedged against a bridge on county road W-14, just north of Sunset Road.

Hawkeye Fire and Rescue safely removed Dane from the river, without further incident.

She was not injured.

The Tri-State Ambulance also assisted at the scene.
