There's a REALLY warm place reserved for this guy. This is "Crappy News" for Monday, September 17th, 2018.

Snohomish County, WA- Several drivers were busted for cheating in the carpool lane.

State troopers posted a series of photos on Twitter showing people driving in the HOV lane with fake passengers.

One man couldn't resist the urge to get a little more use out of his Halloween decorations, and dressed up a skeleton in a cap and jacket. The same trooper pulled over a driver riding with a mannequin wearing a surgical mask, a hoodie and a pair of glasses.

Another officer tweeted a picture of a pillow dressed in a hoodie and holding a cup of coffee and a tablet.

I'm not even mad about this. I'd gladly pay these fines.

35-year-old Nathan Matthias was drunk when the incident occurred in December 2016. Police were called to the apartment and found Matthias standing next to the home holding the gun.

Matthias told police that two small clowns were running around his apartment and he had shot at them. He also told investigators that he'd been drinking the previous night and had yet to go to bed. Police found a bottle of vodka in Matthias' pocket.

He pleaded guilty to discharging a firearm in an occupied structure and to DUI for a separate incident in spring 2017. Matthias was sentenced to at least 22 months in state prison and was ordered to complete drug and alcohol treatment. [Reading Eagle]

31-year-old Paul Menchaca began his scam in March, when he placed an ad on a website that connects clients with home care workers. Menchaca pretended he had DOWN SYNDROME, and he'd hire nurses to come over and take care of him. And by "take care of him" I mean "bathe and diaper him."

When the nurses would call to work out the details, he'd pretend to be a woman named Amy, and he'd say he was Paul's mother. FINALLY, one of the nurses got suspicious enough to track down Menchaca's actual parents. They confirmed their son was not mentally handicapped and didn't need diapers.

Menchaca was arrested last Tuesday for felony sex abuse and fraud charges. [The Smoking Gun]

I'd love to have 10 minutes alone in a room with this guy. Then he'd need a diaper for real.
