Fayette county authorities continue to bust up a large methamphetamine ring operating in Northeast Iowa, with the arrest of one suspect in Waterloo.

After executing several search warrants in the area, an arrest warrant was issued last month for Andrew Marcussen.

Last Thursday (May 8th) The Fayette County sheriff received information that Marcussen was hiding out in Waterloo. That info was sent to the Department of Narcotics Enforcement, and later that night, Marcussen was taken into custody at a Waterloo residence. More meth was found at that location.

Marcussen was taken to the Fayette County jail in West Union, where he is being held on a no-bond warrant.

The investigation continues, and charges are still pending.
