A witness recorded a video of 62-year-old Leimome Cheeks letting her two grandchildren out from pet kennels in the back of her SUV Sunday. According to police, Cheeks said there was no room in the car earlier in the day, so she asked her 8-year-old and 7-year-old grandkids to crawl into the kennels. The temperature was around 95 degrees and there were no air vents in the rear of the vehicle.

Cheeks has been charged with with two counts of child endangerment. The Department of Child Services is now investigating. [Memphis Commercial Appeal]

The Strip and Dip, an annual event at Magheramore Beach, broke a Guinness World Record on Saturday when 2,505 women shed their clothes and spent at least five minutes in the chilly water. The gathering more than tripled the previous record of 786, which was claimed in 2015.

The "world's largest skinny dip" wasn't just an excuse to swim naked--it did serve a greater purpose. The event raised more than $300,000 for a cancer charity. [UPI]

26-year-old Maurice Castanedo broke into a house early Friday night. He was drunk, naked, and entered the home through an unlocked door. Castanedo began yelling at the occupants inside the house and tried to fight them.

He grabbed a rake and swung it at one of the residents. The victim then took a hammer from their pick-up truck, chased Castanedo down the driveway and struck him three times with it.

Castanedo was arrested for burglary with aggravated battery. [Tampa Bay Times]

This is a crime that would be crazy in most places...but in Florida, they just call it "Friday."
