Authorities have identified the two people who were killed in a holiday weekend accident in Waterloo.

According to police, the victims were Courtland VanArsdale of Waterloo and Tyah Hoskins of Cedar Falls. Authorities said Hoskins, 20, was a passenger in a car that collided with a motorcycle, driven by VanArsdale, 42.

The crash happened near the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Mobile St. around 5:40 PM on Saturday (May 26, 2018). Police said the motorcycle was traveling south and the car was going north on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive when they hit each other.

Waterloo police continue to investigate the accident.
