A Northeast Iowa teenager, charged with vehicular homicide in a deadly traffic accident near Oelwein, is expected to make a plea deal.

19 year old Anthony Fogle of Independence was set to go to trial beginning this Wednesday in Fayette County District Court, on a charge of vehicular homicide; he was also cited for operating while intoxicated first offense, reckless driving, and a seatbelt violation.

However, the judge in the case has filed an order for a hearing on November 2nd.

Fogle is expected to agree to a plea bargain at the hearing.

Fogle was the driver of a pickup that crashed 2 miles west of Oelwein on November 1st of last year. The pickup went into a ditch, hit a driveway, became airborne and rolled several times. One passenger, 20 year old Branden Samuel of Wadena, was ejected from the vehicle, and died from his injuries. Another passenger, 21 year old Louis Lumpkin of Oelwein, was injured.

After a month-long investigation, Fayette County authorities filed the charges last December.
