The City of Oelwein has a new city administrator.
An Oskaloosa man, Dylan Mulfinger, has signed a contract with the city of Oelwein.

Mulfinger has been the Oskaloosa management analyst for almost 3 years. Before that, he was employed with the Johnson County, Kansas manager's office.

Mulfinger is a University of Northern Iowa grad.

He was one of 12 candidates for the position. The top five applicants were invited to Oelwein for a two-day interview earlier this month.

Mulfinger will begin his new job on April 18th; he takes over for former Oelwein city manager Jamie Letzring, who announced in January that she would become the new deputy city manager of West Des Moines. In a short interim period, former administrator Steve Kendall has been working for the city.
