New Hampshire Cops Issue Arrest Warrant For Punxsutawney Phil

On Groundhog Day last week, Punxsutawney Phil saw his own shadow, thus promising six more weeks of winter. Since then, the Northeast has been literally buried by record snowfall.

The Merrimack (N.H.) Police Department has done something about this. They issued a mock warrant for the groundhog’s arrest on its Facebook page.

“He told several people that Winter would last 6 more weeks. However, he failed to disclose that it would consist of mountains of snow!” read the post. “If you see him, do not approach him as he is armed and dangerous. Call Merrimack Police, we will certainly take him into custody!”

Good! Someone needs to hold that stupid groundhog -- and whoever got him Lasik surgery -- accountable.
