Waterloo police have released the name of a boater who was found dead at George Wyth State Park on Monday (Aug. 7, 2017).

Authorities identified the victim as Larry Cunningham, 78, of Waterloo.

A passerby called police around 12:30 p.m. to report that a man was slumped over on a boat that was going in circles on Brinker Lake. When emergency crews arrived at the park, they discovered the man was dead.

Cunningham's death remains under investigation, but officials do not suspect foul play as the cause.
