Overnight Fire Destroys Waverly Business

An overnight fire has destroyed a downtown Waverly business.

Firefighters were called out just after 11:00 p.m. to Classic Cleaners, located on West Bremer Avenue in Waverly. A passerby spotted the blaze, and reported it to the Waverly Fire Department.

The fire had spread into the roof of the cleaners, and according to fire officials, the blaze was difficult to put out. No one was in the building at the time of the fire, and there were no injuries. Fire crews were at the scene for several hours.

The cause of the blaze at Classic Cleaners, as well as a damage estimate, have not yet been determined.
