Police Busy with Arrests, Citations and a Break-in

Oelwein Police report some weekend arrests, citations, and a burglary.

On Sunday (July 30), just before 5pm, officers pulled over a car in the 100 block of 1st Avenue NW in Oelwein. The driver, 52 year old Roger Kline of Oelwein, was cited for Driving While Suspended.

41-year-old Samantha Coonradt of Oelwein was taken into custody Saturday afternoon, on a Fayette County warrant. The original charge was Possession of a Controlled Substance-3rd Offense. The arrest was made in the 800 block of 1st Street NW.

Oelwein police made a traffic stop early Friday evening in the ten block of West Charles. The driver, 34-year-old Cooper Zeien of Hazleton, was cited for Driving While Suspended.

Late Friday night, an Oelwein man, 28-year-old Eric Clark Junior, was taken into custody on two Iowa City warrants. He was originally charged with 3 counts of Forgery, 3 counts of Theft 2nd Degree, and Failure to Appear for Pretrial Case Management Conference.

And the Oelwein Police Department is investigating a break-in. The burglary was reported just before 9am Saturday, from the 2600 block of South Frederick. No other information was released.
