Rihanna to ‘Work’ BRIT Awards Stage For Fourth Time
Hard-copy sales of Rihanna's new album, ANTI, haven't yet caught on Stateside, but the United Kingdom is banking on the fact that she can still put on a show.
The "Work" singer will officially perform at the 2016 BRIT Awards, the production announced this morning (February 3). Rihanna's the eighth act added to the program, and her appearance will mark the fourth time she's taken the BRITs' stage — she previously performed at the 2008, 2011 and 2012 shows, where she showcased "We Found Love."
Rihanna won BRITs' Best International Female Solo Artist award twice in her career — in 2011 and 2012 — and has been nominated for six of the show's awards overall. This year, though, it's all about Adele, James Bay and Years + Years, who each racked up four nominations. Calvin Harris and Jess Glynne both earned three, and Amy Winehouse earned a posthumous nomination after the release of documentary Amy.
The BRIT Awards will land on London's O2 Arena on February 24, and will include a tribute to the late David Bowie, who died in January after a lengthy battle with cancer.
