Some northeast Iowa school districts are dismissing students early today, due to winter weather.

Weather forecasters are predicting a rain/snow mixture this afternoon for areas along and north of U.S. Highway 20, where accumulations up to an inch or more are possible. Icing is possible near and southeast of the highway, where the greatest chance for freezing rain/sleet is likely.

BCLUW: Dismissing 1 hour early; All activities canceled

Bosco Catholic System: All activities canceled

Center Point-Urbana: Dismissing 1 hour early; No evening activities

Clayton Ridge: JV/V basketball games vs. Turkey Valley postponed

Dunkerton: Dismissing at 1 PM; No activities or practices

East Buchanan: Dismissing at 1:30 PM; No evening activities

Edgewood-Colesburg: Dismissing at 1:30 PM; All activities canceled

Hawkeye Community College: All locations closing at 3 PM

Independence (including St. John's): Dismissing 2 hours early

Jesup (including St. Athanasius): Dismissing 2 hours early; No evening activities

Northeast Iowa Community College: Peosta Campus and Dubuque Center closing at 4 PM

Starmont: Dismissing at 1:30 PM; No evening activities

Turkey Valley: JV/V basketball games at Clayton Ridge postponed

Union Community: Dismissing 2 hours early

Vinton-Shellsburg: Dismissing 2 hours early

Wapsie Valley (including Community Lutheran - Readlyn): Dismissing 2 hours early; No evening activities.

West Delaware (including St. Mary's): Dismissing at 1:30 PM
