More than 30 students were taken to the hospital after the school bus they were riding rolled over in rural Delaware County Thursday afternoon (Oct. 1, 2015).

The crash involved 32 students from the West Delaware School District. Superintendent Dr. Kristen Rickey said most students sustained minor injuries. All of them were transported to Delaware County Regional Medical Center in Manchester as a precaution, per district policy.

The crash happened around 1:30 p.m. northeast of Manchester, at the intersection of 195th St. and 200th Ave. According to the Iowa State Patrol, the bus struck a sport utility vehicle (SUV) that failed to yield at a stop intersection. The crash caused the bus to do a complete roll-over and come to rest on its tires.

There is no word on the extent of injuries, if any, to the two drivers.

The accident remains under investigation.
