Shell Rock Teen Charged in Rural Waverly Rollover
An area teenager has been cited for causing a one-vehicle rollover accident in Bremer County.
Sheriff's deputies were called out shortly after 7pm Thursday (Sept. 28), to the 1200 block of 240th Street, just southwest of Waverly.
16-year-old Alexandria Lambert of Shell Rock was driving a van westbound on 240th, when she lost control. The van entered the ditch, where it rolled over.
Lambert was not hurt, but a passenger, a 16-year-old girl from Shell Rock, was taken to the Waverly hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
Lambert was charged with Failure to Maintain Control of a Motor Vehicle.
The Bremer County Sheriff was assisted by Waverly Paramedics and Waverly Fire Department.
