Sleeping Waterloo Man, Struck by SUV, Now Dies

An elderly Waterloo man, hospitalized after a vehicle crashed into his home while he was in bed, has now died during his hospital stay.

84 year old Milo Van Schoyck died Saturday at University Hospitals in Iowa City.

Schoyck was injured June 29th, when an SUV driven by 25 year old Weadah Tucker of Waterloo, veered off Summerland Drive at about 12:30am, and crashed into a home occuppied by Van Schoyck, who was sleeping at the time.

Tucker was treated for minor injuries.

The accident remains under investigation by Waterloo Police.
